Anansesem

Author: Kelvin Annorson

Take me back to the days, where peace prevailed everywhere

Where old and young, alike gathers to listen, whether dignified or mere

Where old ones told young ones stories of past

Where young grew to tell their children and forever in their heart it lasts

Anansesem, wasn’t simply a mere adage or folktale

Anansesem, was a scene captivating tranquility, where oneness hails

Stories of encouragement, entertaining and fingers biting ones

That has stayed in our parents minds, growing from childhood to “mans”

…..Where all gathers Under a big tree, signifying togetherness

…..Fire in their mist, signifying vigilance and brightness

Where stories touches and changes lives

Children listen from parents and husbands shares moments with wives
Anansesem ‘si-so’,where the great Ananse rules the game

 Kweku  Ananse,the vigilant,great and fame

Anansesem has played an Impact role in our living…

….It doesn’t ends just as a story, but continues to live by believing.
