Waking up with you

Author: Kelvin Annorson

The day was full of humour, after we had a bit of a tiff

My bed was hard, dreams were bad, sleep was really weird

I didn’t think she will be there anymore, until I felt her curved hips

She wrapped herself in her sheet, boiling with fury she was so red

I knew the day coming will leave me stranded, No more sorry

She was pissed for sure, She didn’t need any long story

I imagined myself in my hard sleeps, her dragging her bags

Chasing her to wait, she won’t even listen as hard as I try

I asking her to wait thinking if whether to beg

I didn’t think of doing that, even if I will dare

I can’t imagine my pain and agony

Why couldn’t I for once, even live with her in harmony

I knew for this time, She won’t listen to my plea

I was prepared, lights and cameras set for the early mornings scene

I wished the cock never crows, and the sun never glows

But they all did, and I had to know the action,”to go”

But I opened my eyes, in huddles, we were wrapped up

Her head on my chest, and my arms around her neck

Waking up with her was the best part of the day

I didn’t even no of what to say

All I knew was,”she was with me, In huddles we all dey”
