Mable was talking to her friends about what she read from the Bible. She had learned from the Bible that Jonah was swallowed by a whale. She told her friends that, “ God sent Jonah to Nineveh to deliver a message to the people of Nineveh.
Jonah disobeyed God by running away, he joined a ship going to Tarshish. Then God hurled a strong wind at the sea, and there was such a violet storm on the sea that the ship Jonah was on, was about to be wrecked.
Jonah then tells the crew on board the ship that, he’s the cause of the violet storm on the sea, he disobeyed God by running away and God was angry, so He caused the storm.
Then Jonah then asked to cast into the stormy sea, because that was the only way the storm would stop, and the sea would remain calm, the crew first protested to this hideous idea, but after a while they agreed to cast him into the sea.
Soon as Jonah touched the sea, the storm ceased and all remained calm. Then God sent a huge whale to swallow Jonah up, Jonah did not die, he was in the belly of the fish alive for days.
Jonah began to pray to God and ask for forgiveness, God listen to his prayer, the whale then vomits Jonah out onto dry land.
Jonah obeys God and goes to Nineveh, Jonah deliver his message from God to the Ninevites. The Ninevites repents their sins. God decides not to destroy Nineveh.”
Mable’s teacher, who was sitting not far from Mable and her friends had been listening closely at Mable’s narration from what she read in Bible. The teacher impressed by Mable’s narration decided to rudely intrude in their conversation.
The teacher said it was physically impossible for a whale to swallow a human because even though they were a very large mammal their throat was very small.
Mable told her teacher that, Jonah was swallowed by a whale. Its in the Bible, and the Bible never lies. She believed in the Bible.
The teacher reiterated, ‘ a whale could not swallow a human; it was impossible.’
The little girl said, “When I get to heaven I will ask Jonah.”
The teacher asked, “What if Jonah went to hell?”
The little girl replied, ” When you get to hell, then you ask him.”
